The Austin Air Pet Machine Filter, manufactured in Buffalo, NY, is specifically designed for homes with pets. We love our animals, but they can sometimes leave unwanted odors that are difficult to get rid of. Austin Air Pet Machine Filter Filter help you freshen up the air while removing fine airborne particles. According to clinical trials conducted at the University of Washington, it is also proving highly effective at removing ammoniums from the air.

High technology made to last

The Austin Air Pet Machine® Plus Filter are made of successive layers, including Activated and Impregnated Carbon and HEPA technology. All replacement filters have up to a 5 year life expectancy.

First layer is a large particle pre-filter which removes particles you see by the naked eye such as dust, hair and pet dander.

Second layer is a medium particle pre-filter which removes small to medium size particles such as molds, spores and pollen. This layer is either gray, blue or green.

Third layer is made of over 780 cubic inches of Activated Carbon, Specially Impregnated Carbon and Zeolite. Removes ammonias, pet odors and dander, chemicals, and gases.

Fourth and final layer is 60 sq. ft. of True Medical Grade HEPA. This technology removes 99.97% of all particles larger than 0.3 microns and 95% of all particles larger than 0.1 microns.

Good to know : Austin Air standard size units are interchangeable with all standard size filters. For example, if you would like to upgrade your standard size Austin Air HealthMate® to a standard size Pet Machine®, simply purchase this Pet Machine® filter. Not sure what is the size of your existing filter? Look for the label underside. Model HM400 indicates standard size filter.
