The EX-500IR HDMI extender is designed to transmit media signals to a display located up to 492 feet away. It supports video resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz and complies with HDMI 1.4 and HDCP 1.4 standards, with support for pass-through of audio formats like LPCM 2/5.1/7.1CH, Dolby Digital, DTS 5.1, Dolby Digital+, Dolby True HD, DTS-HD Master Audio. The transmitter features an HDMI loop output, for connecting a display near the source. The EX-500IR has bi-directional IR functionality, enabling remote control of the source device from the receiver's location and vice versa. Additionally, the device also features RS-232 passthrough, and Power over Cable technology, requiring only one power adapter for the entire setup. This device is perfect for any residential or commercial setup.

You can extend the display devices up to 400 Feet when using with a shielded CAT6 cable.
The issue might be with the CAT cable. This might be due to the external interference of the signals & CAT5e has low bandwidth as compared to the CAT6. We recommend you using shielded CAT6 cable.
If the power and link led lights does not illuminate on the RJ45 port of the transmitter and the receiver, then the transmitter & receiver might be dead.

You can upgrade the firmware by connecting the PC & this device via RS-232 cable.
Please note that this product only supports the CEC function between HDMI input & HDMI output 1.
No, optical output doesn't supports CEC due to its limitations. CEC will work only with HDMI devices.
HDBaseT is the technology used for long distance transmission of lossless signals, resulting extremely low latency & giving the best picture quality.
In normal extenders, if you extend your signals up to some extend, the quality of the signals will degrade & you may find some latency issues. HDBaseT is the lastest standard which provides extending your signals to the longer distance without degrading the quality of the signals & with 0 latency.
We recommend you using a shielded CAT6 cables for optimum performance.
Our all the extenders supports IR Frequency & the devices using RF frequency will not be compatible with our products.
The IR Blaster/Emitter should be connected to the IR out port on the Transmitter and the IR Receiver should be connected to the IR in on the Receiver.
